ABOUT THE COURSE
Stephen Brooks is the trainer on this course and enrolling on this free training will make an enormous difference to the way you think about hypnosis. Stephen Brooks covers a lot of information on this course so please check out the syllabus down the left side of the page. Our aim is that you join the course with the intention of developing your practical skills to a higher level of competency and caring by attending an actual training course with Stephen Brooks. To enable you to achieve this we have created a number of intensive 9 day Practitioner Diploma training courses that run every year in different countries and you are most welcome to join these. Please bookmark our homepage for updates.

On completion of this free online course you can apply for your Final Assessment which will be personally assessed by Stephen Brooks and, if successful, you will receive a Certificate in the Theory and Principles of Brooksonian Hypnotherapy accredited by British Hypnosis Research. Successful completion of our free online course entitles you to preliminary registration with the UK’s General Hypnotherapy Register. This is your first step in becoming a fully recognized Brooksonian Hypnotherapy Practitioner. To apply for preliminary registration you must email a copy of your BHR Certificate in the Theory and Principles of Brooksonian Hypnotherapy to the GHR. Full details are sent to you when you complete the online course.

If you are already fully qualified as a hypnotherapist this course will add to your understanding of hypnotherapy considerably. If you are new to hypnosis and want to qualify as a licensed Practitioner of Brooksonian Hypnotherapy you will need to also attend our two graduate practitioner courses; “Practitioner Diploma In The Advanced Indirect Conversational Hypnotic Induction Techniques of Brooksonian Hypnosis” and “Master Practitioner Diploma In The Advanced Covert Psychotherapeutic Strategies and Creative Interventions of Brooksonian Hypnotherapy”. These are “hands on” Diploma courses held in different locations worldwide and currently still taught by Stephen Brooks personally. You would then be recognised to practice as a fully qualified licensed Practitioner of Brooksonian Hypnotherapy by the UK General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).

We offer an intensive training for serious students of hypnosis, trainee and practicing therapists and professionals from the caring professions. Emphasis is placed on using hypnosis with integrity so we do ask for your serious commitment to developing your understanding and appreciation of other people. The course teaches basic and advanced skills and no previous experience with hypnosis is required.

IS IT REALLY FREE?
Yes – but you do need to put time and effort into it and be genuine about wanting to help others, aside from this it’s completely free. Most students put in approximately three hours study a week. You have three years to complete the course but you can easilly get through in under a year if you create a simple routine for yourself.

BROOKSONIAN HYPNOSIS
Brooksonian Hypnosis is indirect and is based on compassion and integrity, so allows you to employ highly effective caring hypnotic techniques as part of your therapy or care work without any of the misunderstandings of the more direct traditional hypnosis. With the indirect Brooksonian approach the therapist does not imply that he has any special power to hypnotise, instead the emphasis is placed on the client or patient’s ability to naturally experience hypnosis for themselves with the therapist’s loving guidance. We believe this is a much more repectful approach to hypnotherapy and it reduces the client’s dependence on the therapist as it empowers the patient rather than disempowering them.

STEPHEN BROOKS BIOGRAPHY
Stephen Brooks was credited with pioneering the use of Indirect Hypnosis in the UK back in the 1970′s when he established British Hypnosis Research courses in more than 27 British hospitals. He is best known for compassionate demonstrations of “live hypnotherapy” with patients in front of groups of students. He finds this the best way to explain what he does. Live demonstrations of therapy also mirrors what would happen in an actual therapy session – so it’s an important way for students to learn. On this free course you will see over 45 hours of Stephen Brooks doing therapy with clients combined with his commentaries.
